Birmingham Seaholm hosts Harper Woods on Friday, Oct. 9, in a Week 7 OAA Blue Division matchup between the division's first- and third-place teams.
Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Seaholm.
The Pioneers (5-1, 4-0 OAA Blue) sit atop the division standings and have won five straight games since a season-opening loss at Chelsea on Aug. 27. Harper Woods has outscored opponents 271-72 through six games, according to MaxPreps. All five wins in that streak came by 28 points or more, including a 47-12 victory over Waterford Mott on Oct. 2.
The Maples (4-2, 3-1) enter on a two-game winning streak after beating Southfield Arts & Technology 49-34 on Oct. 2 in their homecoming game, which was part of Seaholm's 75th-anniversary Diamond Jubilee activities. Seaholm has scored 193 points this season while allowing 125, according to MaxPreps.
Both teams have faced Birmingham Groves this season. The Pioneers beat Groves 41-13 on Sept. 25. Groves edged Seaholm 14-13 a week earlier on Sept. 18.
Seaholm's offense has scored at least 41 points in three of its four wins this season.
The MHSAA football playoffs begin Oct. 30.
Seaholm is scheduled to travel to Utica on Oct. 23, according to its MaxPreps schedule. Harper Woods is scheduled to host Clarkston on Oct. 16 before visiting Mason on Oct. 23, according to its MaxPreps schedule.
