Seaholm boys soccer pushed its unbeaten streak to eight games Tuesday, Sept. 1, beating Berkley 2-1 on goals by Ronin McLoughlin and Rowan Hanoosh.
The Maples had to fight back from a 1-1 halftime tie. McLoughlin opened the scoring in the first half. After Berkley equalized, Hanoosh netted the winner in the second half to lift Seaholm to 7-0-1 on the season.
Goalkeeper Dominic Washington drew praise for his work between the posts. Bill Watson, who tracks Maple athletics on X, praised Washington's play after the match.

The win came hours after MLive published the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association (MHSSCA) Division 1 rankings for the week of Aug. 30. Seaholm sat at No. 5 with a 6-0-1 record at the time. Portage Central topped the poll at 5-0-0, followed by Troy, Okemos and Rockford.
Hanoosh has paced the Maples' attack all season. At the Boyne Mountain Invitational on Aug. 22, he scored five of the team's seven goals as Seaholm went 3-0-1 in tournament play, with the team's only tie coming against Hudsonville.
The season opened Aug. 19 with a 2-0 win over Brother Rice in the seventh annual Keith Bernacki Memorial Cup. Seniors Liam Kerr and TJ Kotila each scored in the final 11 minutes of that game. Seaholm added wins over Lake Orion (1-0) on Aug. 25 and Utica (4-0) on Aug. 27 to round out the run to Berkley.
Three senior captains anchor the 2026 squad: Kerr, Kotila and Brody Feldy. Through eight matches, the Maples have yet to lose.
