Six Birmingham United boys lacrosse players landed on the Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association's Division 1 all-state teams, spanning three position groups and three recognition tiers.
The MHSLCA released its 2026 all-state selections Tuesday, July 28, with The Oakland Press reporting more than 75 Oakland County players recognized across Divisions 1 and 2. Birmingham United's six honorees placed the program alongside Clarkston and Brother Rice, which also had six selections each. Detroit Catholic Central and Detroit Country Day led the county with eight apiece.
Attacker Brody Feldmaier earned second-team honors, the highest selection among Birmingham United players. Midfielder James Liebler joined him on the second team, while midfielder Noah Bigelman and defender Will Angel each earned third-team recognition. Defenders Nick Holcomb and Jordyn Janesak rounded out the group with honorable mention nods.
Three of Birmingham United's six honorees came on the defensive end.
Birmingham United competed for a regional championship during the 2026 season, joining Cranbrook-Kingswood, Oxford, Walled Lake United, Bloomfield Hills, and Stoney Creek among programs that reached that round. Detroit Catholic Central went on to win the Division 1 state title, defeating Hudsonville 14-10 on June 6.
The honors add to a strong showing for area lacrosse programs. As we reported July 30, Bloomfield Hills goalie Jonah Frank also earned second-team all-state recognition from the MHSLCA.
More than 75 Oakland County players received all-state nods this year, with Detroit Country Day's Keaton Yearego earning MHSLCA Mr. Lacrosse honors and a USA Lacrosse All-American selection after surpassing 60 goals and 60 assists during the season.
